A Drone Video Created a Stunning Document of LA's Murals
Highlighting a range of the city’s diverse architectural history, culture and art.
Los Angeles is known for its diverse landscape decorated with stunning murals and street art. In drone videographer Ian Wood’s latest project, he has traversed over the city documenting the infinitely beautiful works seen on the facades of LA’s buildings. As the drone soars over iconic structures that range from Frank Lloyd Wright’s Hollyhock House and Cesar Pelli’s Pacific Design Center, to Eric Owen Moss’ Stealth building and Morphosis’ Emerson College Los Angeles, the short film provides a truly stunning perspective on the city’s diverse architectural history and culture. However, as is customary with street art, Wood comments that the ephemeral nature of murals meant that many of the works disappeared before he was able capture them on video.
