In this Cannes Classics Official Selection, directors Gabriel Clarke and John McKenna present a documentary film about Steve McQueen during the production of his most iconic film, Le Mans. Featuring candid footage and commentary of the legendary actor and racer, audiences get a visceral look into the psychology behind McQueen’s portrayal of the character. Filmed during the 24-hour endurance race at Le Mans, France, the 1971 drama is an intense cinematic experience that is aptly reflected in this documentary.
