Pharrell Visits Takashi Murakami's Studio
Pharrell takes a look at Murakami’s upcoming exhibition.
In his latest venture for his own i am OTHER, Pharrell stopped by the studio of none other than longtime collaborator Takashi Murakami. While there, Pharrell got a first-hand look look at Murakami’s upcoming “The 500 Arhats,” trying on some of Murakami’s own wearable designs before taking a look at the massive 100-meter painting — which was originally inspired by the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan back in 2011 and presented to Qatar in gratitude for their help during the aftermath.
Murakami’s “The 500 Arhats” — his first major solo exhibition in Japan in 14 years — opens October 31 at the Mori Art Museum and will remain on display through March 6, 2016.
