Watch Time Magazine’s Interview with Kanye for the 100 Most Influential People Issue
If you cannot see why Kanye West is one of the six selected from Time’s ‘100 Most Influential’ list
If you cannot see why Kanye West is one of the six selected from Time’s ‘100 Most Influential’ list to cover the magazine, you are in denial. The Chicago art student, turned producer, transformed into rapper, husband to one of the other 100 Most Influential, dad, made a song titled “I am God”, grew up enough to apologize to yet another list member (T. Swift) all while offering a meme worthy facial expression every single time his photo is taken is fully aware every move he makes has potential to break the internet.
Elon Musk covers what he calls a “Boundary Breaker” in the Kanye piece for Time Magazine. In this video, Ye openly lays out just how huge his influence has become, because of him and his work, and what he plans to do with it.
You’ll find a far more composed Kanye here than the Kanye that was yelling about leather joggers to Zane Lowe.
“My mother made me believe in me”, he says. After he’s reached some huge milestones in his career, he speaks less to his own legacy and more on what he wants to do with his voice. “We were born into a broken world and we’re the clean up crew.” Recognizing also that there are teachers and polices officers that share in his same mission to “just help” and “focus on how we can give to each other.”
Submit guys, drink the Kool-Aid, it’s Kanye’s year.
