Founding Member of the Z-Boys and Skate Legend Jay Adams Passes Away

Legendary skater and founding member of the Z-Boys, Jay Adams, has passed away unexpectedly. A skateboarding pioneer and member of the Skateboarding Hall of Fame, Adams was in Puerto Escondido, Mexico on a surfing trip with his wife and friends when he reportedly passed away from a heart attack in his sleep at the age of 53. He was perhaps best known for bringing an energetic and fearless style to skateboarding and was the first to pioneer many facets of skateboarding. Adams is survived by his wife, Tracy, and two children.
