PREMIERE: Noelz Vedere - Promise Land

Today we pair up with Chicago emcee Noelz Vedere to premiere the visuals for his powerful track “Promise Land.” The song, which features assistance from Kiara Lanier, Ben Official and Kaye Fox over compelling production from Alex Isaak, serves as the intro to Vedere’s latest album, Bittersweet Victory. Taking place in an 150 year old Church in Chicago, just a few months before it’s set to be demolished, the Asa Davis-directed visuals juxtapose a casket lying still in the decaying building with a ballerina dancing gracefully. Vedere explains this is to illustrate “the concept of having something beautiful surrounded by misfortune,” a theme that reflects Chicago’s recent triumphs in music amidst the city’s struggle with gun violence.
