For the launch events of the Audi A3 on Thursday night, Janelle Monae and M.I.A. were selected to perform on two separate coasts. M.I.A. performed in New York, and Monae performed in West Hollywood, but that didn’t stop them from hosting a “live” collaboration with each other. Both artists were set up as holograms at each others’ performances, and above you can check out a clip from M.I.A’s show. From the look of it, everything went a lot smoother than last year’s Rock the Bells festivities, where Wu-Tang’s O.D.B. hologram had a slew of problems.
