Last week saw the official release of the highly anticipated Stones Throw documentary Our Vinyl Weighs a Ton. Today, lifestyle and culture purveyors NOWNESS presents a synopsis video highlighting cuts from the Jeff Broadway-directed film. Spanning just under four minutes, the clip features conversations with Kanye West, J Rocc, Questlove, DJ House Shoes, and Peanut Butter Wolf who speak on how the legendary J Dilla and beat alchemist Madlib altered the sound of hip-hop, while also offering a glimpse at Madlib’s studio and rare archival footage from Stones Throw jam sessions.
