One of the main goals in photography is to tell a story. If Boogie had picked up the pen, he’d be something like Bukowski or Thompson – unearthing the gritty and depraved (and sometimes repulsive), yet finding a kind of raw beauty in underground culture. He chose a camera though, and behind the lens, the Serbia-born photographer has snapped some of the most gripping street scenes of today. UK-based HUCK magazine gave Boogie the cover of its 43rd issue, and accordingly went out with Boogie to talk about how he got his start, his philosophy on capturing great moments, and more. Enjoy the above, and pick up HUCK 43 here beginning March 9.
