In accordance with Kinfolk‘s graphic window installation comes the “The Smoking Woman” tee. The print heralds Kinfolk’s 2014 fall/winter campaign, which was inspired by the New York City jazz scene during the late ’70s. “The Smoking Woman” tee pays homage to the cover art of early jazz-funk band STUFF’s second full length album, “More Stuff.” Released in 1977, the album artwork features an identical image of a woman lighting a cigarette for a smoke. In the words of the label’s own Jey Perie, “This cover in particular is sexy, elegant, powerful yet simple… conveying just what Kinfolk is all about.” The tee is now available for purchase in-store at Kinfolk locations as well as its online store for $40 USD.
