Inspired by American gangsters from the early 20th century, Carven designer Guillaume Henry infused his collection with a dose of attitude and classic workwear for Fall/Winter 2014. Appropriately, the French house’s second seasonal delivery features numerous pieces that reference American style, but come filtered through Henry’s chic and distinctly Parisian lens. Highlights include styles like the Molleton Print Passports Sweater — a crewneck featuring an all-over “mugshot” print — a tree-printed poplin shirt, a “bank” print fleece sweatshirt, and the Little Chap Crewneck Sweater. Rounding out Carven’s second Fall/Winter 2014 releases is a pair of elastic low-top leather shoes that feature supple pull-up leather uppers, a convenient slip-on design, and thick soles for comfort.
