In a rare interaction between animation icons, The Simpsons paying tribute to Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki, director of Studio Ghibli classics such as My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. Just last September, the 73-year-old anime veteran announced his retirement from film making following the release of his last film for Ghibli, The Wind Rises. The episode-long homage to Miyazaki will air this coming Sunday on FOX and will be chock full of references to his films. Check out this brief clip from the episode now.
