Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec Alcove Plume for Vitra

French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec add to furniture maker Vitra’s extensive lineup of lifestyle furniture with their new “Alcove Plume” series. Introduced back in 2006, the Alcove collection included two- and three-seater sofas with walls that go from normal to as high as “xtra high,” and was designed as a means to create the comfort of a room within a room with thick seat cushions with sturdy padded walls. The Alcove Plume series, presented for furnishing show IMM Cologne, is a low-slung sofa with an emphasis on casual comfort. To learn more about the series, check out its page at Vitra here.
