Straight off their recently released self-titled album, MGMT let lose the visuals for “Cool Song No. 2.” Directed by Isaiah Seret, the duo enlisted Omar from The Wire aka Michael K. Williams to star in the unusual video. Williams plays the character ‘The Plant Hunter,’ a guy who turns genetically modified plants into drugs. While all seems per usual, despite a little violence, we eventually see said Plant Hunter fall in love with a man who turns into a tree. Not your typical love story but no doubt an ensemble that speaks of MGMT. Watch above and give your comments below.
