Etudes presents its Fall/Winter 2013 collection via a new lookbook titled “Out Of The Blue.” Partly self-referential, the lookbook prominently features the blue tone – Études Blue – used across much of this current range. Silhouettes range from long, crisp shirts to harem-influenced cotton trousers, while layering staples such as M65 jackets, bombers and solid casual shirts add a sense of consistency to the line. Balancing a necessarily American utility expressed through plated zippers and plentiful buttons, with Asian and African patterns and motifs, Etudes’ Fall/Winter 2013 collection is a surprisingly apt exploration of global influence.
