With an emphasis on art and design, the museum was curated and composed underneath the creative direction of Tilman Thurmer — founder of the architectural agency, Coordination Asia. With over 70 interactive installations and numerous historic exhibits, the Shanghai Film Museum aims to act as a bridge between Shanghai Classic film enthusiasts and fresh faces in the world of Chinese Cinema, and is the first film museum in the artistically vibrant city.
