Riddick: Rule the Dark International Trailer

Having already reprised his role as Dominic Toretto with the release of Fast & Furious 6 this summer, Vin Diesel is set to return to the world of Richard B. Riddick with the latest installment in the Riddick franchise. Following the events of 2000’s Pitch Black and 2004’s The Chronicles of Riddick, Riddick: Rule the Dark sees the antihero left for dead on a desolate and what appears – at first anyway – to be a lifeless planet. After activating an emergency beacon, Riddick and the unforgiving world are descended upon by a group of mercenaries who have actively been searching for him in hopes of taking his head and collecting a hefty bounty. However, they soon realize that they have been lured into a trap, for Riddick is not alone on the desert-like alien world. Director/writer David Twohy – who wrote and directed each of the previous two installments – once again returns at the helm of the new film. Riddick: Rule the Dark is due to hit theaters September 6.
