Though he is a man of many talents and accolades, sometimes David Lynch makes music. When he does make music, it’s safe to expect the eerie, rolling, and slightly aloof overtones as seen in his award-winning films and TV. Such is the case with “Star Dream Girl,” a cut from the artist’s highly anticipated The Big Dream album. Inspired by a failed Jerry Lee Lewis concert in Boise, Idaho during the 1960s, “Star Dream Girl” illustrates the disillusioned feeling of chasing distant, fleeting and ultimately elusive dreams.
