The latest releases from the UNMARKED 2013 fall/winter collection sees the likes of the Zarache and Concho shoe. Constructed using an artisanal strip welt technique — a welt that replaces the thread used in the customary Goodyear welt with a thick leather strip that firmly secures the midsole, while offering a unique finish to the shoe — UNMARKED continues to reinforce traditional craftsmanship with innovation, while upholding fair payment to the people behind its products. Both silhouettes feature a Vibram outsole, bovine leather lining and thick premium leather uppers, with the Zarache’s natural-colored leather contrasted with orange weaves of leather and the Concho brogue with a touch of yellow at the heel. Roughly taking 36 hours of labor each, these handmade shoes are available now at select retailers as well as on the UNMARKED online store.
