Headed by Saif Bakir and Emma Hedlund, Swedish fashion mainstay Common delves into its third collection with clean-cut, forward-thinking designs. Toying with a blend of interesting materials and somber hue coordination, the Fall/Winter 2013 collection continues Common’s quest for tailored street-ready looks. On the all-over logo interpretation, Bakir says “We looked back at our first encounter with fashion as teens; growing up in the ’90s, we were subjected to brands that took pride in emblazoning our chests with massive logos.” Blending sensibilities both subtle and loud, the two work on using monochromatic shades along with khaki and green accents, conjuring up Scandinavian minimalist style. Look for Common’s Fall/Winter collection at select stockists later this year.
