Skateboarding is a highly competitive landscape and for proof, just ask Blind. The company has undergone major changes since its heyday in the ’90s and looks vastly different from the company with which Guy Mariano released his career-launching part. Sure, there’ll never be another Video Days, or even really another Class of ‘91, but Blind is still around and that has to be a testament to something.

The company in its current incarnation consists of several heavy hitters and relative unknowns, neither of which see much documentation. Perhaps it’s with this notion that Blind channels its inner Uncle Drew (also, Tyga) to release “DAMN…,” a new full-length video to show skateboarding that they ‘still got it.’

The trailer for the film was recently released and, without paying much attention to the name (simultaneously acknowledging that skaters watch videos named “Cosmic Vomit” and “WTF…”), the level of skating here looks to be on par with Blind’s contemporaries. With filming from the legendary Mike Manzoori; skaters like Kevin Romar, Felipe Ortiz, Morgan Smith and Ronnie Creager in the lineup; and the surprise introduction of Cody McEntire to the squad, “DAMN…” looks to have the makings of a sleeper hit. Be sure to pick up the video when it releases on May 27 on iTunes and DVD.
