After hundreds of hours spent in New Zealand’s Tongariro National Park, amateur videographer Bevan Percival brings us a beautiful first collection of timelapse shots. Located in central North Island, Tongariro is the New Zealand’s oldest national parks and is one of UNESCO’s 28 mixed cultural and natural World Heritage Sites. Shot at 25 frames per second, the video perfectly catches the contrast of changing weather patterns interacting with timeless landscapes. This is Percival’s first timelapse video and says that he has already begun working on a second.
“We’re very fortunate in New Zealand to have these kinds of scenery, when it’s a clear night. So while there have been some very cold nights spent outdoors it’s been great to see scenes such as these.”
