Backstage at Public School's 2013 Fall/Winter Show in New York
From their days at Sean John to now their own respected designer label, Public School’s founders
From their days at Sean John to now their own respected designer label, Public School‘s founders Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne have remained on the cutting edge of street styling with their unique ability to fuse multiple sub-genres into one cohesive line. Although very typical of the brand since its inception five short years ago, Public School’s affinity for leather, slim tailoring and noir aesthetics have become the rave of the industry as of late, thanks in part to the fashion-savvy rappers of today. Having presented its 2013 fall/winter collection in New York last month (seen and interrupted here), HBTV and Public School offer backstage footage to those who weren’t able to attend February’s show. In this short black-and-white film we get a glimpse at what it takes to stage a runway showing, as well as certain celebrities that were in attendance to take note of Chow and Maxwell’s ingenuity.
