London- and Paris-based Smith-Wykes gives us a look at its 2013 fall/winter styles in this recently released lookbook. True to the brand’s commitment to creating items that “complement, rather than overshadow,” the collection is characterized by strong angular shapes and panels on its jackets, sweaters, and shirts and where patterns are used, they appear sparingly and subdued. Distinct military influences can be seen in the color palette, which features lots of grey tones, navy, tans and dark greens. Perhaps most indicative of Smith-Wykes’ strong but simple masculinity is the midnight wool melton jacket with a wax cotton hood and oversize shoulder panels. Stay tuned for more from the Smith-Wykes 2013 fall/winter collection.
