Pitted against nine of fashion’s most promising rising talent, New York-based Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School took home the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Top Honor. Having already received the CFDA Swarovski Award for Menswear in June, the design duo cite their city surroundings as their biggest design inspiration, and work to bring structured silhouettes and bold design aesthetic back to men’s fashion. Having first stepped into the realm of design in 2008, the two have been buzzing forces in streetwear through their work efforts in the music industry and boutiques, and now their strong ties between fashion and hip-hop have brought them to the forefront of men’s streetwear. Marc Alary and Juan Carlos Obando were also named as CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Top Honors runner-ups, while other nominees included Todd Snyder, Misha Nonoo, Tim Coppens and more.
