Amidst Europe’s own unemployment crisis, London-based artist/photographer Slinkachu installed a series of miniature workplace scenes around Paris to depict the difficulties that surround youth unemployment – a statistic that has reached nearly 30% in some areas. Titled “Why Is It So Hard To Find A Job?” tiny figures were placed around Paris’s urban landscape that show various workers on the job, from construction workers enjoying lunch on a single beam to a lonely guard watching over a miniature Mona Lisa. The first part of conferences to raise awareness for young out of work adults kicked off earlier this week.
