Givenchy 2012 Fall/Winter Collection Preview

Marking his seventh year at the creative helms of Givenchy, Riccardo Tisci delivers another impressive array of silhouettes for the upcoming 2012 fall/winter collection. Reverting back to his childhood fixation of the American flag and Greek mythology, the collection takes shape with an apparent use of enameled stars, crystal studs and striped patterns atop of various garments — the use of passion red, marine blue and ivory hues are an unmistakable gesture linking back the American imagery. Most notable in the footwear department are the crystal detailed hybrid shoes which are a combination of both classic derbies and 1940s gangster-styled trainers. Unique accessories such as shark tooth keychains, elaborate nose rings, and horn earrings aid in furthering Tisci’s presence and success on the fashion house.
