Stately Sandwiches - Deconstructed Sandwiches From Each State

From New York to California, the United States spans 3,000 miles of food cultures unique to each state — specifically sandwiches. Chicago art student and sandwich aficionado Kelly Pratt has started Stately Sandwiches, a project that deconstructs the iconic sandwiches and ingredients from each state, laying them bare on a cutting board and turning them into prints, soon available for purchase. Each of the sandwiches is a carefully arranged interpretation of sorts by Pratt — California expectedly sees fresh sprouts and avocado, Louisiana gets plenty of ham, and Massachusetts gets an artistically arranged smear of chocolate and marshmallow cream. Check out the rest of the collection and follow the ongoing project at Stately Sandwiches.
