Brazilian Ogilvy in Sao Paulo strikes a comic chord with Forbes‘ latest print campaign. “The World Without…” is a tongue-in-cheek celebration of the world’s richest and most famous — except instead of admiring their known contributions, the ads focus on what their absence would take away. A world without Bill Gates would mean $200 million less spent on polio vaccines, 317,721 fewer nerd jokes made and 57 million fewer video games sold. A world without Mark Zuckerberg equates to 800,000 less people developing apps, 3 billion less uploaded photos per month, and 300,000 fewer people discovering they were being cheated on. Also bound to elicit giggles are the hypothetical statistics referring to Tiger Woods’s embarrassing promiscuity and Donald Trump’s curious penchant for reality TV.
