Tokyo denim label Edwin makes its fair share of jean jackets, but in this collaboration with Lavenham of England, their denim is getting the royal treatment to create a unique two-piece capsule collection. Called “Lifesaver,” the collection contains a jacket, and matching vest — both of which are constructed in Lavenham’s Sudbury, England factory from an exclusively developed 9.5oz denim that has been extensively brushed to create a wool-like appearance. The specially yarn-dyed fabric is then backed with a heavy quilting unique to Lavenham. This complex construction process ensures that both the jacket and the vest will be produced in very limited numbers, but should be available in select Edwin stockists this fall.
