Having already delved into the sounds of indie, folk and electronic, the always interesting Sufjan Stevens tries his hand at hip-hop for his latest project, Chopped and Scrooged. Never one to go the standard route, Stevens’ foray into the world of rhymes is a Christmas-themed nine-track EP and enlists the lyrical prowess of the now defunct Das Racist (with production by John Dieterich of Deerhoof), Kitty Pryde, Nicki Da B, and a numbers other underground artists.
