The realm of comic books and fashion have never seemed to be all that relevant based on their incongruent demographics. Yet this has changed steadily in recent times, whether it be the influence of A Bathing Ape and its recent capsules or 3.1 Philip Lim‘s comic book for Fall/Winter 2012, the two platforms have crossed paths in greater frequency. A new collaborative project brings Mark McNairy to Japan to work exclusively with Marvel Comics and the ever popular Spider-Man on a small capsule of products. In addition to McNairy’s involvement shown in this video interview, NuGgETS‘ head designer also comes to the forefront. Both share their respective interests in the line and what makes comic books so appealing. Mark McNairy’s line will be available at Heather Grey Wall while NuGgETS’ capsule will be available at WISM.
