While his peers were busy studying for exams and getting ready for the prom, Phil Post was occupying his time with dertbag, the label he founded at the tender age of 16. Known primarily for its graphic and patterned T-shirts and hoodies, the label is influenced heavily by Post’s heroes Cam’ron and Max B, and has been appropriated by Odd Future and a host of streetwear and skateboarding personalities. For the month of October, dertbag’s signature T-shirts and tank tops make a return in an array of recognizable design cues and motifs — braille, tie dye, flowers and the vibrant colors favored by Post, along with edgy graphics that have become the brand’s signature.
