COMME des GARCONS Unveils "Launching Six" iPad App

COMME des GARCONS has just unveiled its new iPad app Launching Six, dedicated to exploring the highlights of the brand’s former magazine Six. Printed between 1988 and 1991, the magazine was dedicated to the sixth sense, hence the title, and at the time designer Rei Kawakubo had this to say about the magazine: “This is the next step: visual representation of the collection, purely for image.” Fast forward to today and now the best of what the magazine had to offer can be navigated with ease through the iPad app. Available for free, the app can be found at the iTunes store here.
