Major artists don’t often throw their recognition in the direction of a comparatively unknown entity – in this instance, the major artist being Drake acknowledging The Slakadeliqs via his Twitter account. You may well know of the curator of the band, Slakah The Beatchild, who’s worked in a production capacity with the likes of Drizzy, Melanie Durrant and Glenn Lewis. Drake tweeted, “One of his favorite producers he ever worked with just dropped his album.” The Other Side of Tomorrow is instrument-heavy and upbeat and it may well not be what you’re expecting considering the Drizzy co-sign, but all the same, the last notable mention that came from the Toronto native was none other than The Weeknd. Have we said enough? You can stream the debut album from The Slakadeliqs below and it’s also available to download now on a ‘name your price’ basis.
