Paris’s Galerie Perrotin recently opened its latest exhibition, “Dan Flavin: An installation,” on January 14. Featuring eight of his works from 1963 to 1989, the exhibition displays the late artist’s signature “icons” – mounted and barred fluorescent tubes and light bulbs that create three-dimensional monochromes. Using color and light, the pieces exude a conceptual quality that goes far beyond their minimalist construction. Dan Flavin’s “An installation” can be seen through March 3, 2012.
