The first full track from Metallica’s controversial collaboration with Lou Reed has been emerged. The unlikely musical pairing has teamed up for the upcoming 10-track offering Lulu, due November 1 in North America on Warner Bros. and October 31 ROW else on Universal Music. An early teaser of its first audio impression, “The View,” had a polarizing effect as loyal fans of the heavy metal act disapproved the 30-second sample. Now with the complete song arriving, it remains to be seen what the feedback will be like. In an interview with the Guardian, Reed shared his excitement of this clash of creative energy:

“We pushed as far as we possibly could within the realms of reality. This is the best thing I ever did, and I did it with the best group I could possibly find. By definition, everybody involved was honest. This has come into the world pure.”
