Dallas-raised/NYC-based multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Annie Cark, who performs under the moniker St. Vincent, is currently turning heads within the industry with her latest visual for “Cruel.” The hype did not pass the good folks over at Spin who chose the singer as the cover subject for their September Style issue. As part of this honor, Clark was invited to do a special acoustic performance of two songs taken from her upcoming Strange Mercy LP, as well as a cover of Tom Waits’ rambling Big Easy tale, “Tango Till They’re Sore.” Strange Mercy is due September 13.
