While the whole music world is tuning in to The Throne, Kanye West now offers his fans a behind-the-scenes subscription service to his “life.” As The A.V. Club points out, the subscriber receives webcasts of the Kanye/Jay-Z Watch the Throne tour in exchange of $3.99 a month. If you up the price for $1, Mr. West and ad agency Globalhue offer an insight look at his daily habits:
“[Kanye's] exercise routine; what he eats on tour and instructional videos about how to prepare those items by his personal chef; a ‘720-degree’ concert experience; rehearsals for the show; a documentary about Kanye called– appropriately– ‘Me’; and his animated series called ‘Runaway.’”
In related news, Kanye found himself yet again in the midst of controversy. Yeezy headlined this weekend’s The Big Chill Festival in England, during which he made a ten minute speech about how he was misunderstood as an artist. After explaining his 30-minutes delay onstage, the rapper delved into media’s depiction of him.
“I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I’m f—ing insane, like I’m Hitler. One day the light will shine through and one day people will understand everything I ever did.”
Obviously, West’s comments were booed by the crowd, as he went on to list the people in the music industry who he felt had “wronged” him. He even mentioned losing out on the Best Video going at the MTV Europe Music Award to Justice and Simian back in 2006. Share your thoughts below.
