Frank Leder 2011 Fall/Winter "Galicia" Collection

Entitled “Galicia,” the latest collection from Frank Leder (whose 2011 spring/summer line was equally interestingly named “The Botanist”) features an extensive amount of intricate detailing and fine craftsmanship. From tailored blazers to knitwear, outerwear, trousers and more, the lookbook is certainly engaging from a sartorial standpoint – but there’s more to it than meets the eye. Galicia is, according to Leder, “A place which time forgot, a place that doesn’t exist anymore, only through stories, pictures, postcards, memories and emotions.” Therefore, the catalog on display here harkens back to the days when gypsies, farmers and vagabonds walked the streets of the now-abandoned Germanic locale, all donning their “specific dress codes.” If the concept and subsequent execution intrigue you further, more information on Leder can be found here.
