It was COMME des GARCONS who were among the first few to really push forward with the pop-up shop concept via their Guerrilla Stores dotted across the world. However given the ubiquity of the idea now, it has arguably lost a bit of its luster and excitement whenever you hear the word “pop-up.” Nevertheless, COMME des GARCONS launch a new concept titled Pocket that takes on many of the characteristics of the aforementioned pop-up Guerrila Stores. However, gone are the low-brow, hole in the wall venues in exchange for one of Hong Kong’s newer shopping establishments, The One. The month-long project will house a comprehensive lineup of PLAY COMME des GARCONS items including perfume, apparel and sneakers.
