Directed by another up-and-coming artist in his own right, A$AP Rocky, “Blunt After Blunt” finds Detroit emcee, Danny Brown, in top form. Reminiscent in both appearance and sound of 1990s hip-hop, “Blunt After Blunt” is aggressive and lacks the braggadocio that seems to litter today’s hip-hop world. Brown was last seen paired with Black Milk for Black and Brown which was met to lukewarm reviews. If “Blunt After Blunt” is any indication, Brown is right back on track.
