Hailing from Southern California JayWEST teamed up with the good folks at Creative Control to bring forth a decent trailer for his new mixtape Drugs & Candy which you can see above. The visual was directed by philthegod. In addition, the artist gives you a brief explanation on his upcoming project on one of the most current themes in recent rap history.

People are so infatuated with the cocaine era. That’s not exactly what this is. With the music on my mixtape DRUGS+CANDY a lot of the drug references are used to draw a parallel between some of my vices. Sex, conflict and vanity are just a few that have their hooks in me. This trailer represents a visual of that conflict. – Jay West
