In 2008 Shelter, in association with Leo Burnett London, launched the House of Cards Campaign, to raise awareness of the housing insecurity facing millions of families in the UK. More than 1.9 million households await social housing and an estimated 65,000 face repossession this year. The campaign featured contributions from a selection of world renown artists, each offering their own card designs to the program. A recent exhibition celebrating the campaign opened in Paris, showcasing works from the likes of Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Nick Park, Damien Hirst, D*Face, and M/M Paris amongst many others. A recap of the exhibition can be seen below while further information on the House of Cards can be found here.
