maharishi x adidas Five-Two 3 Forum Mid Sample

Sneaker sampling is part of any footwear design process. Before settling on the Stan Smith for adidas’ Five-Two 3 project, maharishi went through different samples including this Forum Mid which was eventually scrapped. These Forum Mid samples feature a similar light blue canvas material which was inspired by naval chambray shirting from WWII. Although the Stan Smith’s were eventually chosen over the Forum, it is interesting to note the changes that could occur during the design process.
