In the second part of their feature, Honeyee gives an in depth look at superb quality eyewear from Japan. Featured are beautifully designed and crafted frames from some of the country’s masters in the industry, including Mr. Taihachiro Yamamoto and Mr. Kotake Chobei amongst others. Possessing a rare gift in celluloid craft, many of these individual have been pupils since an early age which is what makes the quality of their product such a labour of love. Only being able to produce 200 frames a month goes back to the extensive process needed to complete such a remarkable outcome in such an industry.
