From now until June 4th, New York’s Bryant Park will serve as a temporary exhibition space for Gap’s 2008 Artist Collection. With the t-shirt more then ever becoming a popular artistic medium, Gap has enlisted some prolific talent in their 2008 Artist Collection of t-shirts. The list of 13 artists includes creatives such as Chuck Close, Jeff Koons, Marilyn Minter, Kiki Smith, Cai Guo-Qiang, Barbara Kruger, Ashley Bickerton, Kenny Scharf, Glenn Ligon, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Kerry James Marshall, Hanna Liden and Sarah Sze. The t-shirts themselves are available at select Gap retailers.

Art and culture publication Juxtapoz’s 2008 June edition has hit select newsstands across the world. Fresh off his collaboration with eyewear giant Dragon, legendary artist Mike Giant’s label, REBEL8 introduces a bit of what’s in store for the summer time. Keeping it fresh and clean, Mike’s signature style art work is the centerpiece using timeless monotone color schemes while incorporating a dash of color, every shirt falls nothing short of classic. Crooks & Castles recently put up another billboard on Fairfax after their first one got worn out by weather. This one is definitely attention-getting with their signature Medusa and snakes graphics with the word “Crooks” written in huge letters. Be on the lookout for the billboard if you’re driving around the Los Angeles area, maybe you should avoid looking straight at her in the eyes!
After a short hiatus, (COMMUNE) are set to return later this year with their 2008 fall/winter collection. Taking their work back to the drawing board, expect another solid follow-up to their debut collection from last year. In the pipeline are a series of collaborations with numerous popular entities like Alyasha Owerka Moore of Fiberops Denim, Evil Goose of Dreamworks Pictures and the re-release of their popular Lovewright Co. collabo.
