Perhaps it is the boredom of the current pop atmosphere that causes listeners to seek out music that is a bit different. What is certain is that in the coming months it is almost certain that there will be backlash, over analyzed blog posts (like these) and over exposure. But while critics attempt to rationalize it all, bands such as the Australian duo Cut Copy spearhead the movement by bringing a fresh yet vintage sound for the listeners to enjoy. The song has already become a critical and dance floor favorite and is sure to become the soundtrack to the summer.
