Burton [ak] Fall/Winter 2008 Preview

Honeyee has recently published a new picture article called Still Life 2008 where Hiroshi Fujiwara and friends head off to the mountains to shed some powder. Irrelevant as it might seem, the article actually gives us a preview of what might be coming out from Burton’s [ak] line for Fall/Winter 2008. A lot of bright and solid colors are used for the upcoming collection including bright blues and pinks. Japanese hip-hop group Teriyaki Boyz just debuted their newest video for their latest single, “Zock On” featuring Pharrell Williams and Busta Rhymes. The video’s premise basically takes random “fun” items featured in the beginning of the video, and are again shown throughout the whole track. As always Bape products are adorned on all Teriyaki Boyz members. There’s also a cameo by Nigo, and Pharrell shows us his versatility by doing the track’s hook in Japanese. A name that has become synonymous with the pop culture art movement, Takashi Murakami will see his trials and tribulations take over the Brooklyn Museum next month in his © MURAKAMI exhibition. Close to 100 works of art spanning Murakami’s career will be on display in an 18,500 square foot gallery. The exhibition will uncover Murakami’s progression as an artist, works from 1992 all the way to 2000 will explore his branding and identity. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students while children under the age of 12 are free. The tickets can be purchased the same day of entry at the Brooklyn Museum Visitor Center.
