Numerous months of hard work have culminated in the upcoming release of Toypunks Volume 1 DVD. Toypunks is a documentary which explores the fascination of Japanese toys alongside fashion and punk rock. Volume 1 covers the early movements within the Japanese toy industry as well as a series of interviews with living legends within the market. The DVD will also include extras such as the unedited Bounty Hunter interview, the thoughts of Hiddy Kinoshita (of Secret Base) on sneaker collecting and much more. A trailer can be seen here.

A further look into the extensive "Voice of a Generation" Collection from Neighborhood. Much of the collection incorporates a variety of simple and basic designs with the highlights coming via the characteristically high quality construction and attention to detail often associated with Neighborhood. Also seen within these releases are collaborative pieces created with fragment design. Look for these to hit select Neighborhood dealers in the coming weeks.
Although not one of the easiest pieces to pull off, Bounty Hunter recently released a Fur Muffler in both black and leopard designs. Something to consider for those chilly and windy days. The muffler measures in at 140 cm. These are currently available at Cliffedge.
Japanese hat brand CA4LA teamed up with the Andy Warhol Foundation to reproduce some of Warhol’s trademark work on a series of CA4LA caps. The Andy Warhol Foundation was founded following Warhol’s death as an institution for the continual promotion of visual arts. The caps are currently available at CA4LA. Prices vary from ¥6,300 – ¥7,875 (approximately $57 USD – $71 USD).
Mastermind Japan created a few pieces as part of their Theatre8 Collection. The Theatre8 series incorporates some of the silver screens most memorable moments from both a movie and actor/actress perspective such as Marilyn Monroe on a variety of mediums such as t-shirts, button-ups and caps. Available now at Figure.
Japanese boutique/label United Arrows recently teamed up with Vans on the Mountain Edition. The Mountain Edition was recently dug up from the archives of Vans and released to the public once again. United Arrows gave the Mountain Edition a metallic treatment in both gold and silver. Fans of the Half-Cabs may appreciate the similar shape of the Mountain Edition, with the inclusion of a extra wide strap over the forefoot.
